We are a consulting firm specializing in the passive fire protection product industry with a focus on Firestop. Our firm is designed to provide an innovative hands-on approach to streamline all aspects of Passive Fire Protection Products whether it be early in design, during construction or post occupancy. Through years of experience fixing improperly designed, interpreted and installed Passive Fire Protection Products we have created time saving services to ensure the best approach on how to design and build the correct systems per code requirements at the lowest cost.

Senior Project Engineer
Position Overview: Senior Project Engineer to perform a variety of management tasks. Duties of the Senior Project Engineer will include providing support to the President, assisting with client relationships and managing our organizations projects. Most work can be done remotely, travel is required. The ideal candidate should have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools like Smartsheet, Bluebeam and Office 365 suite. Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp skills preferred.
Role Responsibilities:
  • Researching, designing and presenting solutions to clients online and at in-person meetings. You will be expected to walk projects, attend the meetings and provide suggested solutions
  • Work on varying projects from OSHPD Hospitals, to airports, mega office complexes, high rise apartments, college campuses, etc.
  • Find the best way to organize multiple projects and related documents using programs like BlueBeam, PlanGrid, Smartsheet
  • Tracking and managing details as they are developed and designed
  • You will need to operate as if you are running your own small business within the business and be able to access and report all the key information on your projects, write summaries, make formal recommendations/presentations and manage the reporting of your time/billing on each project
  • Collaborate with the entire design, construction and inspection team to create a successful chain of communication so all parties understand changes as they come about.
  • Problem solving general client requests that come in via phone or email
  • Client management including jobsite and relationship development
  • Design, review and quality control of Firestop Engineering Judgements
  • Researching of products, systems and construction modifications
  • Plan review
  • Additional duties as assigned
Experience Requirements:
  • Must be proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Bluebeam
  • A Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Construction Management, Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or Architecture) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum two years construction experience.
  • Like helping others as well as identifying, explaining the options and solving problems
  • Able to live in California (San Francisco Bay Area preferred)
  • Other requirements: Quick learner, good communicator, self-motivator, detail-oriented and outside the box thinker.
Working Conditions:
  • Working remotely from a home office is acceptable, remote office space or co-working space will be provided as necessary.
  • Standard work hours are 8:00am-5:00pm PST
  • Work directly with the President, manage Project Engineer and outside vendors as required
  • Some tasks require completion by the end of business(PST)
  • This position is 25% travel, as requested

Fire Protection Engineer
Position Overview:
The Fire Protection Engineer (FPE) will focus on reviewing, problem solving and analyzing elements related to Passive Fire Protection. Duties of the FPE will include providing support to the President, assisting with client relationships and managing our organizations projects. Most work can be done remotely, travel is required. The ideal candidate should have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools like Smartsheet, Bluebeam and Office 365 suite. Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp skills preferred. Candidate must be or able to obtain Licensing as a California Fire Protection Engineer.
Role Responsibilities:
· Analyzing, reviewing, stamping of Passive Fire Protection Engineering Judgments (EJ’s).
· Development of comprehensive reviews, sketches, detailing and packing of justifications for clients questions and EJ’s.
· Design and development of Passive Fire Protection Engineering Judgments.
· Code Consulting and presentation/problem solving for clients project specific issues.
· Researching, designing and presenting solutions to clients online and at in-person meetings.
· You will be expected to walk projects, attend the meetings and provide suggested solutions
· Work on varying projects from OSHPD Hospitals, to airports, mega office complexes, high rise apartments, college campuses, etc.

· Be active voice and attendee at passive fire protection associations meetings and trade show.

Experience Requirements:
· Must be proficient in Bluebeam and Office Suites
· Hold a License as a California Fire Protection Engineer. (Additional States preferred)
· Like helping others as well as identifying, explaining the options and solving problems
· Other requirements: Quick learner, good communicator, self-motivator, detail-oriented and outside the box thinker.
Working Conditions:
· Working remotely from a home office is acceptable, remote office space or co-working space will be provided as necessary.
· Company office is based in Carmel, CA and travel to office will be required.
· Standard work hours are 7:00am-5:00pm PST
· Work directly with the President
· Some tasks require completion by the end of business(PST)
· This position is travel as requested: Minimum 10%

Our expertise offers quality control for installations during construction as well as assisting with properly designed and implemented documents to expedite approvals.
